Three non-toxic nail polishes to trust
Truth be told: I am a nail biter, but I LOVE and appreciate beautiful polish, especially when it’s not that strong-smelling toxic stuff. For years, I loved OPI. Their colors are so rich and beautiful, but once I learned about all of the nasty toxins they use to make those beautiful colors, I decided it wasn’t worth it. Formaldehyde? No thanks! Thus began my search for polish just as bright and beautiful, but without all the nasty stuff.
Here are some amazing nail polish brands without all the harsh chemicals:
Mineral Fusion: Based in Denver, Colorado, Mineral Fusion’s nail care line is mineral based and completely toxic-free, as well as packaged in sustainable and recyclable packaging. The company is also official partners with the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence- donating a portion of sales to support the organization’s mission, and well as donating products to the NCADV’s network of shelters.
Price point $7-9 per bottle
Zoya: Formulated in Cleveland, Ohio and created by a husband and wife team, Zoya is a high-quality line of polish made from non-toxic formulas and has a huge range of colors. The focus of Zoya and their partner beauty brands is on the health and well being of salons, spas and consumers.
Price point: $10 per bottle
Restore______. : Each month, Restore _______. comes out with a new cause-driven color nail polish. 10% of proceeds from each bottle goes toward the given cause of the month to restore hope and healing. Made in small batches in Florida.
Price point $21 per bottle
