It's almost here!

April is upon us and although it was a rough past month with moving from our last shop space, the kindness in the community has been keeping my spirits high and I'm looking toward the future in our new space with high hopes.

April is off to a great start with two Manifest Journal Intensive workshops scheduled, a Modern Calligraphy workshop (which I've been dying to teach for about a year now!) and a Maker Market planned featuring 7-8 local artists!

The end of the month will have some exciting events hosted by UNLV's Student Sustainability Council as we bring attention to the fashion industry and the harmful effects that "fast fashion" has on our economy, the environment, and most importantly, the lives of those who work in clothing factories. This 3 day series will start April 25th (which also happens to be my birthday, and a few days after Earth Day!) with a screening of The True Cost, discussion following. The 26th we will be doing a "Who Made My Clothes" campaign on campus (check out fashionrev to learn more) and the 27th we will be holding a clothing swap for students! I will be keeping everyone posted via social media about the time/location details of all the events mentioned above.

We'll see you beginning this Saturday, April 8th when doors open!
